What’s Next After Voter Approval
Fulshear voters have officially approved both propositions in the May 2025 bond election, supporting community investments in park development and future land acquisition. The City of Fulshear is grateful for the support of our residents and is committed to responsible, transparent progress as we move into the next phases of these projects.
What’s Next?
With the successful passage of the bond, the City will begin working on the next steps for each proposition.
Primrose Park Phase 3
Primrose Park Phase 3 is currently in its final design stage. We anticipate the project will be ready for bid in Spring 2026, with a construction timeline to be determined upon award. Before that time, our focus is on completing design documents and preparing for a seamless transition into construction after the completion of Phase 2.
Land Acquisition
The City will also begin searching for viable land opportunities in alignment with the long-term vision and growth needs of the community. Timing for this proposition is flexible and will depend on identifying the right property. Once a site is selected, acquisition and development planning will move forward accordingly.
Project Prioritization
Projects will move forward based on readiness, funding availability, and community need. At this time, our priorities are:
-
Advancing design for Primrose Park Phase 3
-
Beginning exploratory efforts for land acquisition
Some elements of these bond-funded projects will take time to complete due to necessary planning and design, which is a standard part of responsible capital project development.
Financial Transparency
The total bond program was divided into two propositions:
-
Proposition A: Primrose Park Phase 3
-
Proposition B: Land Acquisition
Funds from each proposition are dedicated solely to the project it was approved for. For example, bond dollars allocated for Primrose Park cannot be used for land acquisition, and vice versa.
Importantly, bond funds will not be issued all at once. Bonds are typically issued in phases, and only as project milestones are reached - such as completing design documents or identifying and preparing to purchase land. This phased approach helps ensure the City maintains fiscal responsibility and only borrows funds as needed.
The City of Fulshear will continue to update residents at each milestone. To stay informed, follow our website and social media channels for future updates, timelines, and opportunities to engage.
