Type B Economic Development Corporation (EDC) can fund all projects eligible for Type A, as well as parks, museums, sports facilities and affordable housing. However, Type B EDCs are subject to more administrative restrictions than Type A. 

The Type B EDC Fund provides for the accounting of local sales tax collected by the corporation per state statute governing Type B EDCs. The Type B Capital Projects Fund accounts for the ongoing projects of the corporation. These funds are designated as Special Revenue Funds.
