We like to refer to Fulshear as "urban country" - big-city amenities with a relaxed, rural lifestyle. Because of this unique mix, and our proximity to major employment centers in and around Houston, Fulshear and the surrounding area have undergone tremendous growth over the last ten years, with the addition of many new residential and commercial developments.  Fulshear's population has exploded from just over 1,000 residents in 2010 to an estimated 8,200 as of mid-2016. 

Residential developments are growing rapidly in both the city limits and ETJ. Two large established residential developments in our corporate limits include Cross Creek Ranch located off FM1093 on the east side of Fulshear and Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek located off FM1093 on the west side of Fulshear. A third, Fulshear Run, is well underway just south of FM 1093 at Bois D'Arc Lane across from Lamar Consolidated ISD's new Fulshear High School and Leaman Junior High campuses. 

Commercial development has accelerated along FM 1463 to include the HEB-anchored Market at Cross Creek Ranch, Cross Creek Commons at S. Fry Road, and many additional retailers and service offerings in surrounding spaces and tracts. Additionally, "old town" Fulshear is seeing an increase in interest and development, and Fulshear's ACE Hardware is set to open at Main Street (FM 359) and 1st Street in Fall 2016.
