The 8th annual Fulshear St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade will be held in Downtown Fulshear on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 1 PM to 7 PM, co-hosted by the City of Fulshear and the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce. The event will be kicked off with the traditional parade down Main Street at 1 PM which will lead into “one of the greatest Rhythm & Blues acts of all times” that faithfully recreates the characters in the 1981 movie, The Blues Brothers.
The parade will led by an Irish Bagpiper followed by various area businesses and emergency vehicles. In addition, an appearance by the Yellow Rose Derby Girls, the Fulshear Simonton Fire Dog, Sparky and the Huggins Elementary choir.
The event will also feature a fun-filled “Kid’s Area” complete with a rock-climbing wall, bounce houses, obstacle courses provided by The Gym Station, and games with St. Patrick's Day themed prizes provided by Independence Title and other kids activities. Over 30 booth spaces have been set aside for vendors including a local brewery, fashion designs, food, medical screenings, dog rescue and much more!
Booth spaces are still available for vendors and parade registrations will continue to be accepted until March 14, 2014. There is no charge for parade entries and participation is encouraged for all residents and businesses.
